THERMAWALL 1000 SERIES PANELS
APPLICATIONS
THERMAWALL 1000 SERIES PANELS are a multi-use pre-insulated composite
cladding suitable for exterior wall envelopes in refrigerated or
freezer buildings as well as suspended ceilings or exterior flat
roofs in the food processing, pharmaceutical and controlled environment
areas.
Industrial/Architectural applications provide designers with a
wide range of practical and aesthetically pleasing design flexibilities.
The superior joint engineering assures a tight, well designed, building
envelope.
CONSTRUCTION
THERMAWALL 1000 SERIES PANELS are insulated with NON CFC thermosetting
polyurethane insulation that meets most building code specifications.
Structural grade steel facings are precisely roll formed and foam
insulation is expanded between the metal sheets in a state-of-the-art
continuous line production sequence that is fully computerized to
ensure optimum quality and consistency in every panel.
INSULATION
THERMAWALL 1000 SERIES PANELS with foamed polyurethane insulation
are offered in a thickness range of 2" to 6" providing insulation
values of R-15 to R-47.
FACINGS
THERMAWALL 1000 SERIES PANELS have standard 26 gauge facings of
stucco embossed galvanized steel to ASTM A-525 G-90 designation.
Base steel shall be structural quality to minimum Grade "A"
33,000 PSI, conforming to ASTM A-446. Consult factory for optional
panel facings of galvalume, aluminum or stainless steel.
COATING SYSTEMS
STANDARD PANEL finishes are imperial white siliconized polyester
(Dept. Of Agriculture Recognized) with a total dry film thickness
of 1.0 Mil including 0.2 Mil primer.
Optional finishes include Kynar PVF2; plastisol and polyester
coatings in a range of stock and special order colors.
PANEL DESIGN
THERMAWALL 1000 SERIES PANEL utilizes a superior joint design providing
concealed fastener anchorage affording connection of both metal
skins to the building structure, double caulk seal provision and
excellent air and water infiltration test results.
Panels are produced in the attractive "SHADOW LINE" Profile.
Panel coverage is available in 42" wide.
PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS
Fire:
Meets special requirements of model building codes and is certified
and approved by the following authorities:
ULI - Underwriters Laboratories Inc.
FM - Factory Mutual
WH - Warnock Hersey
ULC - Underwriters Laboratories Canada
NYFC - New York State Toxicity Standard

ASTM-E84 - Flame Spread 17; smoke developed: 97 Finished Panel
ULC S102 - Flame Spread 22; smoke developed: 67 Finished Panel
ULC S101 - Passed Fire Endurance Tests without fastening joint seams
UBC 17-6 - Passed Multi-story test with standard panels
Thermal Transmission:
ASTM C-518
ASTM C-236
See individual panel test data
Vapor Barrier:
ASTM E283 Air inflation "0" at 20 PSI
ASTM E331 Water penetration "0" at 20 PSI
Structural:
ASTM E72 Vacuum chamber tested for wind and suction load deflections
on wall assemblies
ASTM E72-9 The panel achieved a vertical load bearing capacity
on standard width to maximum 19,800 lbs. Compressive force at .06"
deflection
Fatigue Test:
Standard panels were tested by independent Laboratories for long
term deflection failure. The panels exceeded 2 million alternate
cycles without failure or damage.
Bond Strength:
The panel was tested for Tensile Bond strength of the metal to foam
interface to more than 1200 lb. Force without delamination.
