SINGLE / DOUBLE HORIZONTAL SLIDE FIREMAN™ DOOR
U.L. LABELED FIREDOOR
 DESCRIPTION
Clark's single horizontal slide fire doors (SFM) are U.L. (Underwriter
Laboratory) rated for "A" label - (3 hour) applications and are power
or manually operated to suit your needs.
APPLICATIONS
Clark SFM doors are designed for use on labeled fire walls. Manual
doors are "normally open", closing only when released by detection
device and power operated "normally closed" for material handling
traffic.
CONSTRUCTION
Panel:
Door shall consist of individual panels. Multiple panels shall be
used on opening greater then 3' 8" wide. Panels shall be 20 gauge
zinc coated, 1 ¾" thick flush surface. When more than one panel
is required, the panels shall be joined together using 14 gauge
"H" beams with 14 gauge armored leading and trailing edge channels.
Steel reinforcements shall be provided for trollies.
Core:
SFM/DFM doors have a treated Draft honeycomb core chemically bonded
to the face sheets for a strong, structural panel.
Track:
Heavy duty 12 gauge double "J" track with 4-wheel pendant type trollies
for smooth easy door operation. Double "J" track prevents door panel
from lifting out of position.
Closing Mechanism:
The closing mechanism shall consist of a trigger and weight mechanism
that will automatically close the door by release of the heat actuated
device, whether the door is in the full or partially open position.
Bi-parting doors shall have two closing mechanisms.
Hardware:
Sliding firedoor hardware shall be U.L. labeled including "J" type
track, ball bearing pendant type trollies, concealed guideroller,
flush type door pulls, necessary binders and heavy duty stops. Bi-parting
door hardware shall be the same as above with the addition of center
astragal, center floor guide and latching device. All necessary
erection hardware such as bolds, screws, washers, etc., shall be
provided by Clark Door.

POWER DRIVE
Model 10000FD:
TEFC fractional HP synchronous AC motor coupled to 20:1 worm gear
in oil bath totally enclosed for life. Adjustable, precision machined
torque limiter designed to slip on overload only. Smooth, quiet operation
with "soft" start and stop. Operates at average speed of 20 inches
per second. (2) remote pullcords for open/close controls. Control
voltage 24 vac. Entire system NEMA 4 standard. Instant reverse safety
edge - non-electric. Drive chain to be fully enclosed in galvanized
steel drive track. U.L. labeled drive release brackets.

CONTROLS
- Pullcord control is standard supplied with heavy duty cast aluminum
24 vac switches (heated inside freezer application).
- Time delay option available to automatically close the door.
- Induction floor loops are available to automatically reverse
the door if the opening is obstructed or to automatically close
the door after the traffic has passed through.
- Radio and infra-red controls are available as a vehicle operated
system of door control.
OPTIONAL OPERATORS
Clark Cobra™ Dual-Speed, High Speed Operator
The Cobra™ was designed specifically for those openings that
demand rapid access, opening at speeds up to 60 inches per second
per panel with a safe, slower closing speed. The Cobra™ incorporates
the Clark 10000 operator transmission and employs an AC voltage inverter
which provides smooth acceleration, fast operation and smooth deceleration
to a precise stop. All operations are factory set prior to shipment.
A programmable ramp generator enables precisely defined acceleration
and deceleration of the motor with adjustable jerk control. This provides
smooth, quiet acceleration with precise stopping.
Clark 9600 Hydraulic Operator - Single or Dual Speed
The Clark 9600 Hydraulic Operator is designed for rapid opening
with the simplicity of hydraulics. The 9600 incorporates the Clark
10000 operator transmission and combines a 1 HP electric motor,
hydraulic pump and control valve into one compact unit. High starting
torque provides fast, smooth acceleration to a precise stop. The
single speed unit operates at 25 inches per second per panel and
the dual-speed at 60 ips to open and 30 ips to close.
